Bought these batteries first time 2 years ago in Europe and was stunned by the capacity of the batteries (AA). Have used Duracell and other "brand" rechargeable batteries with higher marked capacity, but they are all outlasted by these.Highly recommended batteries (carrying case is some how useless - takes too much space).
Before I bought the rechargeable batteries I made sure to research all over the internet to see which had the best performance. Time and time again I found that the best reviews were coming from reviews on these Sanyo Eneloop batteries.I am a photographer and use speedlite flash units regularly and need batteries that last and will hold a charge, are easy to use and transport, and can recycle power quickly to keep up with my shutter clicks. I found that these batteries do all of the above and that they do live up to the great reviews.I recommend it.
You are being forewarned. What this means is that the LR03 1.2V batteries (which these are) will work but the will not power your electronics to its full potential in addition they will loose power much faster than the HR03 1.5V AA rated batteries. These are LR03 1.2V batteries not HR03 1.5V batteries. That said most of the products out there require a HR03 1.5V AA batteries rating. Not all AAA, AA etc batteries are the same in terms of voltage they are only the same in terms of size. Before fore warned and don't get burned like I did.
This is a great pack of rechargeable batteries. Everything fits nicely in the kit for storing or carrying. (The batteries tend to fit a little too tightly, but it's not a big deal; they come out more easily when some of them are out). The batteries last a good amount of time, and when you need a replacement, it's really convenient to be able to just pop either sized battery into the charger and grab some charged ones.I'd recommend this kit to anyone.
My digital SLR camera used to eat alkaline batteries like hogs at the trough; it's frustrating and expensive. The eneloop batteries hold up and I have never had to switch them out during a shoot. The eneloop charger seems to be a little bit slow charging up a set of batteries but I believe the slow charge is purposely gentle to prevent overheating resulting in shortened life. So far none of my eneloop batteries have died with the eneloop charger.
